Standard and Custom Colors
Most manufacturers offer inclined
platform lifts in a single standard colorá -á
usually a durable, baked powder coating in a neutral
color.
If aesthetics are a concern, be
aware that some manufacturers offer a variety of
alternative paint colors.á These colors are from a pallet of standard
powder coatings that are available from manufacturers.á
Custom mixed wet paints that
exactly match a certain paint are generally not available as most manufacturers
no longer use wet paint.á Custom
color powder coating paint is available but is
very expensive unless ordered in very large
batches.
Outdoor Installations
If a lift is to be located outdoors
it must be designed for this type of location.á Often this means use of alternative
materials such as aluminum, galvanized steel or
stainless steel.á It may also
include the addition of special covers, seals and other
weatherproofing.
If the lift is to be installed outdoors,
be sure to specify the manufacturerÆs outdoor package
and recommended outdoor finish materials.
